We have two Best Paper Awards to be offered at IIFET 2024 Penang! Paper submission for both awards is from 24 January to 15 March 2024. Please carefully read the formatting guidelines prior to submission.

 

Best Student Paper Award

  • Sponsored by NOAA Fisheries.
  • Eligible to any student who is currently enrolled in a graduate program or any graduate student who graduated after 1 March 2023.
  • The paper can be on any economic topic of relevance to the conference themes.
  • You must be the primary author of the paper.
  • You must have an abstract accepted for ORAL presentation at IIFET 2024 Penang.

 

JIFRS-Yamamoto Award for Best Paper on Responsible Fishing

  • Sponsored by the Japan International Fisheries Research Society (JIFRS).
  • Eligible to any citizen of a low/middle/upper income country, as defined by the World Bank.
  • The paper should address responsible fishing practices in your own country.
  • You must be the primary author of the paper.
  • You must have an abstract accepted for ORAL or POSTER presentation at IIFET 2024 Penang.
